Future author?
Our school district is having an "Excellence in Writing" awards night. One child is chose from each grade level at each school Malia's writing was chosen out of all three second grade classes at her school. She will get to attend the awards banquet where she'll be given an award (and a free book... her favorite part). She really does have a talent for writing and we love listening to the fun storylines that she comes up with. Congratulations Malia!

Way to go Malia!! That's so exciting!! and way to go Deena with the extra long runs...I was thinking about the energy gel and wondering what it could do for the days where I think I just can't clean up a mess one more time! Maybe it would be the miracle I need! :)
I just told Alysee about Malia winning the ward and my comment on your blog. She was super excited but said "that is not why I love Malia. I love her because she is a great cousin."
