Update

I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted. This past month has been a busy one. We signed Jacob up for basketball for the first time and he loved it. He said he loved it even more than baseball. He has his last game Saturday. I have a few weeks off before all three older kids start baseball/softball. It's going to be a crazy spring hauling them to practices and games.

We have also been busy doing some home improvement projects. We redid our little downstairs bathroom. Tiling the floor, new sink and toilet. We retiled our bathtub (to match the tile on our counters) tiled the kids' bathroom floor and are getting ready to do their counters. It's been a lot of mess and a lot of work, but everything looks great. I'll post pics when everything is done.
Training for the marathon has started. We have had two Saturday group runs. I feel like I haven't been quite as motivated this time around...hopefully I can do this! Brent is a running machine and seems to have no problems running the scheduled distance, plus some.
The last few months I've noticed that Cole seems to have a hard time hearing me. I feel like i'm raising my voice just to ask him something. I always feel like i'm yelling at him. So about a month ago I asked the doctor to check his ears, he said everything looked good. I brought it up to Brent a few times but he said Cole probably had selective hearing. One day Brent had Cole and Claire stand next to each other and we conducted our own hearing test. We had Claire raise her hand, then had Cole raise his hand. We repeated this a few times and then changed it up. We asked Claire to lift her foot and she did. We asked Cole to lift his foot and he raised his hand. He continued to raise his hand each time, even though we were asking him to do other things. Brent finally turned to me and said "you're right, he can't hear us." So I set Cole up with a hearing test through the school. He took it today and failed. Tommorrow he goes in for more extensive testing. So we should know more tommorrow. I'm really hoping that it's something simple like fluid buildup or something "fixable." I'll post the results tommorrow....

SO glad you posted!!! I feel lost in the Keiser Ditto world and after reading this I can see why. Once again you guys are remodeling queens (and kings)!!! I can't wait to see all your hard work. Please post pictures soon!

I'm anxious to hear about Cole's hearing results. Like you said, hopefully they just need to do some deep ear cleaning (which is NO fun) and then he will hear better.

Wow, I'm glad you were persistent about Cole's hearing problem.
