3 birthdays and Christmas
Christmas and 3 birthdays within 4 days of each other? I can't decide if this is a blessing or a curse. On the down side, it's very overwhelming financially, you get lots of presents and then nothing for a whole year, all of your friends are out of town for your party. You get "combined" Christmas and Birthday presents. Your birthday presents are all wrapped in Christmas paper,no pool parties, you are so sick of treats, that a birthday cake doesn't sound so appealing. On the up side, you get lots of presents, there is usually family around to celebrate with you, there is a lot of chocolate left over from santa to sneak from your kids' stockings, I get to watch those sappy Christmas movies that always make me cry, no school...and it IS the best time of the year...right? So what do you think, a blessing or a curse??

Hum...I would say curse. I always loved having a summer birthday to brighten the summer. The only thing that I didn't like was that I didn't get to bring treats to school. I actually remember being SUPER excited when we moved to Utah and had year round school so I could bring a popsicle to share with my school friends.
I sure love getting to be apart of four birthdays every other year. My kids wouldn't trade Chunky Cheese night for anything.
Hmmmm, I think it's a negative. One of my kids is a Dec 21st baby. She doesn't seem to mind, but it does make it more tricky to budget and make sure everything is fair. 3 birthday's around Christmas!? That's crazy!
Curse--sorry, Deena.
As long as people don't say:
"This is for you... MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY"!
I'm saying curse. All those things are so true. A Jan birthday is better, but I still think it would be fun to have a summer birthday. We could just start celebrating 1/2 birthdays. :)
my birthday is 6 days before Christmas. My mom always made it special and so does my husband that is all that matters to me. Just be sure you ask for everything you want that time of year so you don't need pressents during the summer.
I have to put my vote in the curse category...Honestly, I was always glad it was Brent's birthday after Christmas and not mine...
